THE annual mistletoe fair at Colwall was one again a great success, raising over £1,000 for the village's orchard group.
Lots of people flocked to the venue, Provisions of Colwall in Walwyn Road, on Saturday to buy sprigs and bundles of the plant to decorate their homes.
As well as mistletoe, members of Colwall Orchard Group were selling home-made jams, jellies, preserves and chutneys, as well as beeswax items made from the orchard's hives.
These included gardener’s hand balm, lip balm, and cling-cloths, beeswax-impregnated cloths that can be used like cling film.
Mulled apple juice and mince pies were available to keep shoppers warmed up and refreshed.
Helen Stace of the group said: "The event went really well and we had a good turnout throughout the day"
Colwall Orchard Group's next event is the wassail on Saturday, January 13.
