SIX fire crews were called to fight a large barn fire at farm near Ledbury yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
The crews, which took it in turns to battle the blaze, came from all over and including appliances from Droitwich, Malvern, Ledbury, Fownhope, Ross and Newent.
They were called to the fire in the two storey barn at Orlham Farm in Leddington shortly before 2pm on Sunday with the last crew leaving the scene at about 10pm.
Acetylene cylinders, often used for welding and cutting metal, were being stored in the barn and these had to be cooled by the fire crews to avoid any explosions.
Hereford and Worcester Fire Service said they used compressed air foam to dampen down the blaze quickly.
No one was injured in the incident.
